BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Everyone age 12 and up who are booked for the JoCo Cruise Crazy cruise and Entertainment Pass before October 1, 2010 will be automatically entered into a random drawing; one winner shall be crowned “Monarch of the Seas”, with all of the rights and privileges that come with the title, including prime seats at all JoCo Cruise Crazy main performances, and lunch with JoCo (see Full Details below.)
CONTEST BEGINS: July 13, 2010
CONTEST ENDS: Last day to enter is September 30, 2010 at 11:59 pm. Winners will then be chosen by random drawing and announced at the first JoCo Cruise Crazy performance.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, just complete the booking process for JoCo Cruise Crazy before October 1, 2010, and you will be entered automatically. In the event that the randomly-picked winner declines the title (“abdicates”) or is unable to attend JoCo Cruise Crazy (“in exile”), said winner shall be “overthrown” (bloodlessly, don’t worry) and another random drawing will be held. (Long live the King/Queen!) JoCo Cruise Crazy cruisers who do not wish to vie for the title of “Monarch of the Seas” (hereinafter referred to as “Populists”) may contact us to be taken out of consideration.
FULL DETAILS:
- All individuals aged 12 and up booked for JoCo Cruise Crazy and the Entertainment Pass before October 1, 2010 will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win.
- Grand Prize: one randomly-selected winner will be given the title of “Monarch of the Seas” for the duration of JoCoCruise Crazy on the Holland America ms Eurodam for the Eastern Caribbean cruise January 2-8, 2011. Additional non-monetary benefits TBA. Examples:
- The winner shall receive a crown and/or scepter (exact regalia to be determined by JoCo Cruise Crazy), as befitting their royal status.
- Whenever the winner is wearing their crown/regalia, the entertainers and other JoCo Cruise Crazies will be encouraged to address the winner as “Your Majesty”, “Your Worship”, etc.
- Whenever wearing their crown/regalia, winner may address any other JoCo Cruise Crazy as a “Sea Monkey” or “Loyal Subject”.
- Winner and up to three (3) companions will have front-row center seats (“The Royal Box”) at each evening’s JoCo Cruise Crazy main performance, and will be acknowledged from the stage near the beginning of each evening’s show.
- Winner will have one request guaranteed to be performed (or at least attempted) at the Jonathan Coulton all-request show, dedicated to winner. (Song is to be mutually agreed upon beforehand by Jonathan Coulton and winner.)
- $0 monetary value.
- Winner and up to three (3) companions will be invited to have lunch with Jonathan Coulton at one of the shipboard restaurants during JoCo Cruise Crazy, at a time mutually agreeable to the winner and Jonathan Coulton. Other JoCo Cruise Crazy entertainers may also be present, tbd by JoCo Cruise Crazy.
- One entry per person. Must be at least 12 years old as of January 2, 2011 to be eligible.
- Family of JoCo Cruise Crazy organizers, performing guests and their families, and contractors of JoCo Cruise Crazy and their families are not eligible to win.
