Some of you no doubt already know this, but I have BIG NEWS re: Dance parties. We have hired a DJ for JoCo Cruise Crazy II!
First, a little background: On last year’s cruise, a group of intrepid Cruise Monkeys helped me invade the ship’s disco dance floor for a NERD RAVE OF EPIC JAMSPORTIONS. It was glorious! That is to say, we enjoyed writhing and twisting to the hottest songs of the moment, including the immortal “Fancy” by Drake (featuring T.I. and Swizz Beats).
Jonathan Coulton is nothing if not sensitive to the primal, physical needs of his fans — and so he has taken the initiative and hired our own personal DJ for JCCC2. When he first told me of his plan, I assumed he’d be hiring Rick Ross or Lil Wayne. HOWEVER, our inccorigible friend has his own way of doing things and has hired an unknown talent named …
Who is this guy? I don’t know. He’s not listed in my database of HOTTEST DJs BURNING UP THA CLUB.
However I am willing to give this kid a chance!
Apparently, DJ Flansburgh’s bona fides include playing in a rock group called Perchance They Are Gigantic(?) and being a total mensch.
You know what? That’s good enough for me! (Why am I such a snob about dance music, anyway?) I’m sure that DJ Flans will provide many long, sweaty hours of dance-floor exuberance for all Sea Monkeys, and so I welcome him with open arms!
This cruise will be fun! Get excited NOW.
